MCS and Monroe County Health Department Partnering to Offer Flu Vaccinations

Monroe County Schools will be partnering with the Monroe County Health Department to provide the flu vaccination program to children at school again this year.

Every year, children are infected by the influenza virus, causing serious illness and missed school days.  Some children suffer serious complications, especially those with asthma, diabetes, and nervous system disorders.  Vaccination is the best way to protect your child from this potentially serious disease.

The Monroe County Schools flu vaccination clinic will be Wednesday, September 27 through Friday, September 29.  Consent forms will be sent home with students on September 7th and should be returned to school no later than September 15th .

The only vaccination available for the flu is now the shot. Flu mist is no longer available and can not be provided at any location. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get your child vaccinated, so your entire family can stay healthy this flu season.  Please see the student and staff vaccination schedules below.
